On Saturday, April 16th JP du Plessis became the eighth player in Major League Rugby to take the pitch for 50 matches.

JP first began playing Rugby for Reitz School in Kroonstad, South Africa. Before joining MLR in 2018, JP played in Super Rugby for the Melbourne Rebels, Stormers, and Southern Kings. Du Plessis was a part of the Legions playoff run in 2018 and MLR 2019 Championship Final showing.

Signing on to his second season with NOLA Gold ahead of the 2022 season, de Plessis has 12 MLR career tries scored to date.
