William Waguespack

William Waguespack is a lock from New Orleans. The local talent has been with the Gold since 2018 and compiled 344 minutes across 12 games in the 2022 season. He attended Jesuit high school from 2012-2016, where he played rugby in his junior and senior years. He was a team captain during his senior year. He maintained his rugby momentum by competing in the South Regional Cup Tournament for Louisiana in North Carolina. From 2018-2021, he played for the University of New Orleans. During his time as a UNO Pirate, he studied abroad at South Cross University in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia from June-November 2019. He maintained his rugby career while there, was noticed by local scouts, and received an invite to the AIG Junior All-American Development team. He also represented the United States in the 2018 World Rugby Trophy Qualifiers as part of the USA U20s team.
