Damian Stevens is a halfback from Walvis Bay, Namibia. Stevens was a staple of the Gold’s lineup in 2022, notching 14 appearances including 13 starts. He also played for the Academy team in the Fall American Rugby Premiership, as well as Namibia’s international games against Spain and Canada. At the youth level, he played for Western Province from 2013-2016 and was on the WP U19 squad in 2013. He then progressed to Namibia’s U16s in Grant Khomo Week; from there, he played for the University of the Western Cape located near Cape Town. His services for the Namibia national program continued as he made his debut for the senior team against Kenya in 2015. From 2015-2019, he made five Rugby World Cup appearances. Other significant appearances include playing for Western province in the 2016 Currie Cup, the Sharks XV in the 2017 South African Rugby Challenge, the Griquas and Boland Cavaliers in 2018, and the Olimpia Lions in 2020.
