By Arto Kazakov
NEW ORLEANS, LA—This Saturday, April 10 the NOLA Gold host their first double-header at the Gold Mine on Airline. Prior to the NOLA Gold’s 3:30 pm matchup against the Austin Gilgronis, the Toronto Arrows will face off against the LA Giltinis at 12:30 pm. Fans who purchase tickets to the NOLA vs. Austin game may attend Toronto vs. LA at no extra cost.
After enjoying a BYE week, the NOLA Gold (1-0-1) who currently sit at third in the Eastern Conference, will take on the Austin Gilgronis (1-2-0) who are third in the Western Conference. The Gold will be playing without fly-half Robbie Coleman who suffered a season-ending ACL tear during the Gold’s (51-28) victory over Rugby United New York.
NOLA Gold has partnered with Louisiana Fire Soccer Club to present the first “Fire Weekend” at the Gold Mine—with children from Louisiana Fire Youth Soccer taking the field at halftime to play. Children who wear their LA Fire Soccer Club jerseys can enjoy free levee seating ($10 for parents), and discounted stadium seating ($18 for parents/children).
