NOLA Gold to Host Pre-Match Food Truck Fest on Saturday, May 13th
New Orleans, LA – The Gold Mine will play host to an inaugural pre-match Food Truck Fest on Saturday, May 13th, from 2:00-4:45 PM. The eight trucks involved will span the spectrum of mobile cuisine, offering dishes that will make the taste buds of all those in attendance dance with delight.
The eight trucks – Joel’s Lobster Rolls, Southerns, Queen on Wheels, Couzan’s, Cayenne Seafood Specialities, Chef Scott Creole BBQ, Diva Dawg, and Center Plate, are eager to show their culinary spirit and prowess in the hours leading up the Gold’s match against the San Diego Legion. Where else can one taste the gustatory sensations of a buttery New England lobster roll, steaming hot Diva Dawg, and smoky-sweet BBQ in the same place? And that’s not to mention the other delicious products on offer that day…sign me up!
If this treasure trove of food isn’t enough to satisfy your senses, prepare yourself for an afternoon of music that will have your feet moving from start to finish. Headlined by the Glass Planes and complemented by DJ Rudeboy, Food Truck Fest will feel like a third weekend of Jazz Fest, only much cheaper and with better food.
To cap things off, the Gold will face the crém de la crém of the MLR – the San Diego Legion. The two teams will clash on the pitch at 5:00 in a high-stakes, high-intensity fixture with serious playoff implications for the Gold. See you at the Gold Mine on Saturday, May 13th!
