On Sunday, March 12th, Patrick O’Toole became the thirty-second player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.
Patrick (Gold #66) began playing Rugby at six years old for Westport RFC in Westport, Ireland. While at the University of Galway, he was a member of the Connacht Senior Academy and also played for Corinthians RFC. During his first year of studies at Galway, he was selected for Ireland U-19s.

Upon graduating from the Connacht Senior Academy, he chose to sign with the San Diego Legion during the first season in 2018, appearing in four matches. Following the 2018 MLR season, he earned selection with the ‘USA Selects’ and played in the Americas Pacific Challenge.
In 2019 he moved to the Houston SaberCats, appearing in 16 matches. In 2021 he returned to MLR and signed with NOLA Gold.
As a senior club player, he previously played for Connacht Eagles, Corinthians RFC, Glasgow Warriors, Garryowen FC, SD Legion, and Houston SaberCats.
In his MLR career, he has scored 15 tries, made 213 ball carries, has 1,627 meters run, made 429 tackles, and 771 ruck arrivals to date.

The latest of the first thirty-two players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Josh Larsen of the New England Free Jacks, Andrew Quattrin of the New England Free Jacks, and Kevin Sullivan of NOLA Gold.
