Julián Domínguez Widmer signed with the Gold for the upcoming season. He signed a three-year contract with NOLA Gold.
General Manager Fitzgerald expressed his excitement at adding Domínguez.
“Julian is an excellent player on the rise. At just 23, has already had great success representing Argentina in 7’s and Argentina 15’s,” Fitzgerald said.
Alongside his experience in Argentina’s 7’s and 15’s teams, Domínguez recently shined for the Jaguares in the Curry Cup First Division, scoring eight tries in five games. Dominguez tied for the lead in the competition with eight tries as the Jaguares went undefeated in the seven games.
Fitzgerald said he is “a very tough player that defends his position very well,” as well as “an excellent finisher that has the relentless ability to create a big play out of nothing.”
Fitzgerald said he is looking to forward to Domínguez joining the team.
“We feel he will be a great fit for us here with his work ethic and innate competitiveness. Looking forward to getting him in the fight,” Fitzgerald said.
