Throughout its history, New Orleans and those who call the city home have shown their resilience, refusing to be knocked down or knocked out. Rather, we come back stronger each and every time.
In this light, NOLA Gold has taken up the mantle of grit to honor the city that we are so proud to call home. New Orleanians built this organization with an all-in, no mercy mentality and we will never quit on a city that has never given up on itself.
Grit is the passion and mental fortitude that pushes you forward in spite of every challenge. We exemplify the grit that’s uniquely New Orleans in everything we do from our game strategy to how we persevere together. We know that it ain’t ever going to be easy in the Big Easy, but that makes us even more excited for the challenges that lay ahead.
Going into our fifth season, it is time for our grit to truly emulate that of New Orleans. Grit is not just our philosophy on the pitch but also in our belief that Major League Rugby has an important place in New Orleans! No matter the challenges that come our way this year, the Gold will always push through, just as our city has for hundreds of years. We look forward to seeing y’all showing your grit at the Shrine on Airline on February 5th as the Gold begins its push for the playoffs!
