NOLA Gold Rugby will travel a mile high to Denver to take on the Colorado Raptors Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. central time. The game will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television.
NOLA Gold sit at 1-1 heading into the game and are coming off a loss to Rugby ATL 22-10.
The Colorado Raptors are 0-2 coming into the matchup with the Gold. Colorado lost it’s last game in sizable fashion to the San Diego Legion 49-22.
Colorado will get a chance to defend home field for the first time with their first two games coming on the road.
Meanwhile, the Gold set out on their first brief road trip of the season, before returning home the following weekend.
The Gold will be looking to eight man Cam Dolan to have a big impact in the game with him being a big factor in the Gold offense leading the league in carries. Dolan was held scoreless against Rugby ATL, but opened the season with a three-try game against Old Glory DC. Those three tries tie him for the league lead for tries scored.
One player to watch out for from the Raptors is back three player Mason Emerson. Emerson leads the Raptors with 155 carry meters and has one try on the year.
The Gold next return home to take on the San Diego Legion. The Legion are coming off a year where they went all the way to the championship. Despite falling short to the Seattle Seawolves, so far the Legion haven’t lost a step this season, starting off 2-0 including a win in their opener against the defending champion Seawolves.
