SALT LAKE CITY (January 15, 2020) – Major League Rugby (MLR) has decided to partner with the global leader in sports technology, Catapult, to improve the training and performance metrics for the entire league. Catapult designs wearable technologies that have revolutionized how athlete analytics are measured.
Catapult has global customers in 137 countries and 39 sports across more than 3000 teams. Their North American reach includes 29 of the 32 National Football League (NFL) teams and all 31 National Hockey League (NHL) teams, among many other professional leagues. Overseas, Catapult is partnered with over 200 elite club and international rugby teams including Rugby Australia and the Saracens.
Catapult has provided athlete wearable technology for the MLR to improve monitoring of athlete development. Catapult’s groundbreaking technology is designed to reduce athlete injuries and optimize the rehabilitation process, which will prove to be crucial across the MLR 17-week regular season that kicks off February 8.
