RYAN FITZGERALD, GENERAL MANAGER

Ryan Fitzgerald, a native of Wind Lake, Wisconsin, is a decorated rugby player, U.S. Marine, and professional football scout. In 2003, following a standout career at Muskego High School as a lock and back row player, Fitzgerald was selected to represent the United States u19 World Cup squad in France. Afterward, he took a four-year hiatus from rugby to serve his country with the U.S. Marines. From 2003 – 2007, Fitzgerald served two tours in Iraq with the Marines’ 3rd Battalion. He was honorably discharged in 2007 having attained the rank of sergeant. Upon returning to civilian life, Fitzgerald returned to his rugby roots, contributing to the success of the Milwaukee Rugby Club. In 2010, Fitzgerald transferred his rugby talents to New Orleans Rugby Football Club, where his inspirational leadership style and fierce play helped New Orleans win nationals in 2011 and runner-up in 2014.

In 2015, Fitzgerald hung up the rugby boots and picked up the scouting pen when his discerning eye for talent earned him a position as a professional NFL scout. His appointments include Reese’s Senior Bowl (2015 – present); training camp, Miami Dolphins (2016); rookie camp, Dallas Cowboys (2017).
