Harley Wheeler

Harley Wheeler is an outside back from Long Beach, California. Though born in California, he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee at a young age. There, he attended South Doyle High School, where he began playing rugby, taking after his older brother. He then attended Life University and played on the team, achieving three USA Rugby D1A XV national titles and four straight appearances in the title game. He was the 2018 Rudy Scholz Award winner – USA Rugby’s award for best collegiate player. He was a 2018 and 2019 1st team Collegiate All-American. Within the USA Rugby ecosystem, he played for the U20 Men’s XVs against Canada and the Men’s Collegiate All-Americans against the former Glendale Raptors in 2018. Additionally, he played for the USA Falcons in their South American tour to Uruguay and Chile, as well as with the Eagles Sevens in the 2019 Pan American Games. Other notable appearances include the AF International Sevens in Germany, the Rugby X in England, and the USA Sevens roster for the HSBC Sevens Series.
