Thanks for a Great Home Season NOLA Gold Fans!
Dear NOLA Gold Fans,
Everyone at the NOLA Gold Rugby organization wanted to thank you for your tremendous support this season! Not even the COVID-19 Pandemic could squash the support of our amazing fan base. From our first game against Old Glory DC to our final home game opposing ATL Rugby, we were overwhelmed with the support from each and every one of you. This support is due to you all speaking about the Gold and your experience at the Gold Mine on Airline. Rain or shine, and there was a lot of rain this year, our fans pushed the team to success with their shouts of “NOLA” and constant energy.
The atmosphere at the Gold Mine on Airline is rightfully considered one of the most significant home-field advantages in Major League Rugby. Beginning with tailgates hours before the game up until the last play takes place, our fans’ optimistic attitude and support allow the Gold to thrive and push forward. The “16th man”, our fans, has a massive impact on the course of the game. When speaking about the fans, General Manager Ryan Fitzgerald said, “I was overwhelmed with the great support from the fans this season. The fans are the heartbeat of our team, creating the best atmosphere of any team in Major League Rugby. We look forward to our fans’ continued support as we finish the regular season on the road and hopefully into the playoffs”. We all echo his praise!
Even though the home portion of our schedule has come to an end, the Gold are about to face their most important test of the season. Our last six away games will determine whether the Gold makes their first MLR playoffs. So don’t let up! We need our fans to continue their tremendous support. We hope everyone will continue watching and supporting the Gold as the regular season comes to a close, hopefully culminating in a playoff game back at the Gold Mine on Airline. Season tickets for the 2022 season are now available, so we hope you will continue your journey supporting the NOLA Gold. We wish you all a safe and healthy summer. Let’s go Gold!
Sincerely,
The NOLA Gold Rugby Team
