The Gold have signed New England FreeJacks flyhalf Tadhg Leader on loan.
Leader played flyhalf and captained the San Diego Legion in last year’s inaugural MLR season. He helped guide the Legion to the semi-finals and finished the season as the team’s top try scorer.
The 27-year-old also made his debut for USA Rugby against Chile in this year’s Americas Rugby Championship and earned two caps with the Eagles.
Originally from Galway, Ireland, Leader played with Connacht Rugby from 2011-2014 and also represented the United States with Lindenwood University at the Red Bull World Uni Sevens in 2016 in Bath, England.
In 2017, he helped lead the St. Louis Royals to a DIII National Championship.
Most recently, Leader was signed by the New England Free Jacks and has captained them in their exhibition season, this year.
