MLR and Ram Rugby sign ball and equipment deal
SALT LAKE CITY (February 7, 2018) — Major League Rugby announced today a multi-year deal with Ram Rugby as its official ball sponsor.
A leader in rugby equipment, Ram Rugby will supply custom-branded match balls, training balls and ball bags to all seven MLR teams. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Ram Rugby and MLR will work closely to increase youth participation in MLR’s local communities.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Major League Rugby to become its official ball and equipment provider. It was clear from our initial conversation that MLR shared our ethics and passion for rugby at all levels of the game,” said CEO of Ram Rugby USA, Ken Hagerstrom. “Not only are we looking forward to working alongside each of the MLR teams, but also to working with MLR to help support the growth of grassroots rugby in the U.S. This is a very exciting time to be involved in rugby in North America and I believe the launch of the league can only help to push U.S. rugby to greater heights in the years ahead.”
About MLR
MLR is a professional rugby league that will launch in April of 2018. It’s an initiative of the American rugby community, in partnership with private investors, who believe that American rugby can thrive at the highest levels: as a commercial enterprise; as an influential player on the international scene; and as a participation sport at the youth and senior level. MLR will be the pinnacle of the American rugby, and provide a rallying point for local communities, a focal point for American rugby fans, and an aspirational destination for young athletes.
