Former Saints Punter to be Honored at the Gold Mine this Saturday 4/10
NEW ORLEANS, LA— On Saturday, April 10 former Saints punter and NFL Pro Bowler Thomas Morstead will take the ceremonial first kick before the Gold’s match against the Austin Gilgronis.
Morstead was drafted fifth in the 2009 NFL draft and is now a free agent after playing with the Saints for the last 12 seasons. In 2010 Morstead completed the famous onside kick which led the Saints to win Super Bowl XLIV.
Thomas and his wife Lauren started “What You Give Will Grow” in 2014, and have raised over $3.5M for multiple charitable organizations across Southern Louisiana. Morstead says that although he is looking for a new team, New Orleans will always be his home.
